In honor of Dr Cedric Northrop, former TB Control Officer for the Seattle-King County Health Department, a portion of the Firland Foundation grant monies are prioritized for the Pulmonary Fellowship Program at the University of Washington Medical Center. These monies are to be used primarily for the training of pulmonary fellows in tuberculosis prevention and clinical care, and are awarded on the basis of specific planned curriculum and TB clinic rotation experiences. Additional funding for TB research activities would be given high priority through the regular grant process.
